Founded by local Senior piano technician, Steve Droy, The Piano Technology School ltd is the leading provider of piano technology training in the UK. Located since 2021 in Rugby, students work on pianos as part of their training to be piano tuners and technicians.

There are many old pianos out there often been given away for free. Many of these are not suitable to be repaired or indeed are too old to hold their tuning.

At the Piano Technology School Shop we take the better pianos so that students work on them, repairing and tuning, as part of their training which makes them ideal for beginners.

We believe this helps you get an affordable piano in good working order, and not only will be doing your bit for the planet, you will be supporting the next generation of piano technicians. Proceeds from the sale of these pianos goes towards finding more pianos for the students to work on.

For larger budgets or more experienced players, we also have access to other pianos including upright Yamaha and Kawai, as well as grand pianos.
